The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) is the organisation responsible for promoting the purposes of the National Park and the interests of the people who live and work within it.
As a National Park, the SDNPA has two purposes:
Purpose 1: To conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the area.
Purpose 2: To promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of the Park by the public.
The SDNPA also has a duty to work in partnership to foster the social and economic well-being of local communities within the park, in support of the two purposes.
This site, which has been set up by the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA), will act as a forum and sounding board for stakeholders of the National Park to communicate their ideas, issues and concerns to the SDNPA over the coming year.
Your input in this Forum will be fed into SDNPA's decision making, helping them consider the views and ideas of a wide group stakeholders as they develop their strategy and vision for the Park.
