Train stations will benefit from £15 million of new government funding to improve cycling facilities

The Department for Transport has announced £15m for 2015-16 to be spent on cycle rail improvements, typically additional cycle parking at railway stations. The extra £15 million for cycling facilities at stations will be allocated through the Cycle Rail Working Group – Contact them and let them know where you would like the money spent in your area: http://cycle-rail.co.uk/contact/

Thank you for your post to bring attention to this new goverment funding.

We are aware of this funding and we will have our input through our existing good working relationship with the Community Rail Partnerships and the Rail Operators (SWT and Southern) to further develop facilities at stations within or in close proximity to the National Park.
