GPX Downloader seems to have a number of suspect "Trojan Horses"  attached .... WHY ?

Comment by Roger Mullenger on December 17, 2012 at 14:02

There are no Trojans - I have checked with a virus checker.  However they have been loaded as .zip files which are sometimes classed as suspicious.  I will ask Liss Parish Council to change them.

Unfortunately GPX loading sequence has already generated unwanted "pop-ups" ... now how to get rid of them !

With Firefox:   Right click on file then "Save link as .." should do it in one go.

With IE: Right click on file then "Save target as .." should do it in one go.

The file can be used in any mapping software, GPS unit or smartphone with mapping app.

Hope that helps.

Many thanks,

Apparently have to "un-tick" several trip boxes on the way to loading GPX program ...

Silver Surfers be very wary ... cheaper to buy a new computer ... than to get some-one in to fix these bugs ... !

(Also remove hard disc before getting rid of old one)

John
